SeaFarer Free Edition 1.9.x

SeaFarer Free Edition to be discontinued.

With the up coming release of SeaFarer 2.0 it is time to discontinue the 1.9.x versions.

We have also decided to halt the further development of SeaFarer Pro as many of its features are now included in SeaFarer 2.0 Retail.

Beta Testers Wanted

We are currently looking for additional beta tester to help with the up comming SeaFarer 2.0 release.

We will start testing on the Linux platform and then opening up both the Mac OS X and Windows platforms.

You should have a moderate amount of experience on the platform you will be testing.

If you are interested in becoming a beta tester please post your request in the SeaFarer Retail forum.

SeaFarer 2.0 Preview

We are pleased to announce that another preview of the up coming Seafarer 2.0 is now available in the beta area.

SeaFarer 1.9.6 Retail Edition now available.

We are pleased to announce the release of SeaFarer 1.9.6 RE.

This new release adds BSB version 4 & 5 chart support to SeaFarer. There have been several other enhancements and bug fixes.

We have place a demo version of the software in the download area. If you are a licensed SeaFarer RE user please contact support for additional information.

Raster2BSB for Linux now available in the download area.

Many thanks go out to Woody for bringing back Raster2BSB, a tool for converting raster images into BSB version charts.

Raster2BSB is an easy to use tool to create BSB 3 charts from png or tiff images.

SeaFarer 1.9.6 Now in Beta Testing

We are pleased to announce that Version 1.9.6 has begun beta testing. The test cycle will last at least 4 weeks or until all of the bugs have been worked out of the system.

SeaFarer version 2.0 is now in active development and we will have some announcements on the forum in the near future.

SeaFarer 1.9.6 with BSB 4&5 support (Retail version ONLY)

BSB 4 & 5 chart support is almost ready for testing. We hope to begin beta testing the new version at the end of this week. All beta testers, please check the testing forum for an important announcement.

BSB 4 & 5 support will only be available in the Retail version of SeaFarer.
